-24-DUAL SOURCE PARENTERAL INFUSION SYSTEMWITH SECONDARY INFUSION MODULEAbstract of the Disclosure:A dual source parenteral infusion system includes aprimary controller which controls the flow rate of aparenteral solution, a display which displays parametersassociated with the delivery of a primary solution, andpushbuttons for entering solution delivery parameters intothe controller. The primary controller communicates witha secondary infusion module which is programmed to deliversolution from a secondary source, with the flow rate beingcontrolled by the primary controller. The secondaryinfusion module includes a display for displayingparameters associated with the delivery of the secondarysolution and a drop detector, and mounts about a dripchamber for the secondary solution.
