The invention relates to a surface-effect flying boat, which rises from the water as the speed increases and lifts off the water surface, and then slides on a dynamic air cushion. The lift coefficients are influenced by lateral and rear seals of the surface-effect space, so that high lift coefficients and low drags are present during take off and such that the lift coefficients and drags increase sharply with increasing height above the water surface so that the distance above the ground does not exceed one third of the span width.
