The VCO oscillator for not using a current source to reduce the power consumption comprises a first comparator (COMP1) for comparing a feedbacked circuit output voltage (VD) with a first reference signal, a second comparator (COMP2) for comparing the feedbacked voltage (VD) with a second reference signal, a latch (L) having a set terminal (S) connected to the first comparator and a reset terminal (R) connected to the second comparator, a buffer (B) connected to the latch to obtain a stabilized output and a capacitor (CLD) for outputting the oscillating freq. signals by charging and discharging the output of the buffer. The output of the capacitor is connected to the comparators. The VCO has large variation width of osc. frequency.
