The control method ensures that photographic material passing through a drier has a defined residual moisture content. This is achieved entirely by temp. measurement and heater regulation. The temp. of the photographic material is compared with the ambient temp. in the measuring area, and the drying process is controlled according to the temp. difference. The temp. of the photographic material is measured contactlessly at the end of the drying path, pref. by three temp. sensors (131,13,133). ADVANTAGE - Sufficiently accurate, while preventing damage to paper surface.
