Tumbler drier control device having a temp. feeler which establishes the temp. difference between the ambient air and the exhausted air to trip an air heater when the temp. difference has attained a predetermined value is provided with a further feeler which senses the rate of energy absorption by the heater and a tripping means for the heater responsive to a temp. difference which deviates from a predetermined value in response to change in the rate of energy absorption. Washing is dried to a predetermined moisture content independently of voltage regulation.
