False twisting spindle storage drum speed controller as claimed in 2125873 is modified in that the spindle is provided with a feeler which is responsive to a speed variation of plus-or-minus 5% of the preset speed to trip or start the driving motor and thereby keep the store of yarn on the drum at a constant value.
