The screwdriver cylinder (1) has a separate parallel feed-cylinder (2) which has in it's front end cap (13) a knurled knob (15) for adjusting the distance between the adjustable stop (14) and the stop (8) which both slide in a chamber (9) which is not fed with air. The stop (8) carries a pin (23) which passes through slots (17) & (18) in the cylinder walls (19,20) into a hole in the sleeve (21) which carries the screwdriver head pin (23) transmits the movement of piston (4) to the screwdriver head. ADVANTAGE - Units can transmit higher torque and be set at closer centres than conventional pneumatic screwdrivers.
