The screwdriver attachment is fitted to the shaft (1) by collar (8) fixed by a worm screw to the shaft (1). The collar (8) carries a connecting socket (20) and disc (19). The shaft penetrates socket (20) and disc (19), as well as disc (7) and terminates in a screwdriver tip. Discs (19) and (7) are fitted apart with spring (6) between. The entire assembly is fitted in a telescopic housing (9,10). The free end of bushing (9) is radially elastic with contracted part (3) fitted with spiral spring (5) and a bell-shaped mouth, around which a rigid distancing cage (18) is fitted. For use the screw (4) is introduced head first into the contaction until the slot on the screw gear engages with the screwdriver tip and the screw tip protruding beyond the bell mouth. Following the screwing-in operation the cage (18) comes to rest against the workpiece and the screw is forced out from the contraction and the two bushings of the telescopic housing move into each other.
