The display device has a liquid crystal display (1) releasably connected to a pcb (11) with contact surfaces (12) by a holder frame (4). The contact surfaces on the inside of the cover plate (2) are connected to corresp. connection surfaces on the pcb via flexible connector strips (9, 10). The U-shaped holder frame has two parallel longitudinal sides (5, 6). A guide frame (13) is arranged between the LCD and the pcb. A flexible connector (9) is held between the edge (19) of the guide frame and the inside of the long sides of the holder frame. The guide frame has guide noses (17) which are received in corresp. apertures (18) in the pcb. ADVANTAGE - Improves positioning of flexible connectors to allow long displacement. Simplifies assembly of device.
