The blind consists of a strip of material which is wound on a rod (6), while a cross strip (4) is attached to the end of the material. The blind is pulled down against the force of spiral springs (1) which are mounted at the ends of the rod (6). The ends of the strip (4) run in channels (5). When the blind is pulled down, the spiral springs will exert a pull on the strip (4) which tilts it and jams it in the channels (5). ADVANTAGE - The blind takes up little space and can be economically manufactured.
