The free end of the material or grid blind is provided with an end fillet which prevents the blind end running into the separate box under the effect of spring tension. The separate box (4) is fixed to the lowest slat (3'') of the protection, and the material or grid blind (5) can be withdrawn downwards out of the box (4). Lock devices (19) are provided for the position-fixing arrest of the end fillet (7) in the downwardly hanging state of the protection. Such devices are provided at least on one of the two sides of the end fillet, and incorporate an arrest bolt extending from one of their sides which in the downwardly hanging state of the protection can be locked in an unlockable arrest stop (19) in the side of the covered aperture. USE/ADVANTAGE - A roller blind which is easy to handle, and with a better protection against penetration of rain water into the blind box.
