The method involves pressing a slotted adjustment housing (27) into a longitudinal bore (25) in a tubular connector (2) up to a defined depth. The valve is then pre-mounted and the spring (26) mounted with one end resting on the adjustment housing. The valve is then assembled and operated for a defined run-in period. The dynamic actual delivered medium quantity for an opening and closing process is then determined and compared with a desired quantity of medium. The adjustment housing is then pressed further into the connector until the measured and desired values coincide. USE/ADVANTAGE - For use with fuel injection valve for internal combustion engine. Eliminates need for caulking connector to fix valve in position.
