The sample and hold circuit (100) of a type using a voltage difference between two input analogue signals, has a differential stage (3) connected by switches (4,5) and capacitors (6,7) to the inputs of a buffer circuit (300). The collectors of two input transistors (203,204) within the buffer are connected to a collector control differential circuit (209), such that the collector base voltages are the same.
