B- and N-alloyed bainite steel is used as a material in the mfr. of machines or machine parts for use at 500-680 deg.C. The steel compsn. (in wt.%) is 0.01-0.1 C, 0.2-0.3 Si, 0.1-0.2 Mn, 9.0-12.0 Cr, 0.5-0.16 Ni, 0.2-0.3 V, 0.01-0.1 Nb, 0.08-0.20 N, 0.005-0.02 B, with balance Fe. The steel for the mfr. of machine parts subjected to high temps. and creep, e.g. parts for compressors or components for combustion engines. Also for steam turbine parts e.g. turbine blades and shafts, as well as for connecting elements subjected to high temps., steam pipes, mountings and valves for steam turbines, and as a construction material for steam-generating units.
