The toy consists of a number of mini-containers (1) for different categories of waste material, symbolised by playing pieces (9). Each container also has a drawer (3) to support one or more pieces of a jigsaw puzzle which are released one at a time when an item of waste is put into the container, actuating a lever (7) to release the drawer. Each mini container has a sliding metal cover (14) with holes in it for the items of waste, made with sides of unequal length to ensure that it is fitted the right way round. The game is played by a number of players taking turns according to the throw of dice and the game is completed when a player has recycled all his/her waste items correctly and extracted all the pieces of puzzle to complete a picture which converts a polluted scene into a pollution-free one.
