The subject of the present invention is a modular system for signalling and dividing motorway lanes, comprising divider elements which are aligned to form a safety and signalling barrier between traffic lanes or at the border of these lanes, characterised in that the said divider elements (1) include, at each of their ends, a partially closed groove extending over their height and designed to receive a linking marker (beacon) (2) adopting a shape complementary to that of the said grooves, so that the barrier is alternately composed of one divider element (1) and one marker (2).
