The device is intended especially for single intake manifold injection systems. An injection valve for single manifold injection in mix-compressing internal combustion engines is held by a plug-type connector on its ejection side by means of a nozzle tip in an opening in the wall of the intake manifold with insertion of a rubber-elastic O-ring. In order to prevent damage to the O-ring at the edges of the wall opening, when the injection valve is plugged in, a centering device is mounted on the nozzle tip's free end. Preferably, the centering device is designed as a protective cap mounted on the free end of the nozzle.
