PURPOSE: To construct the data of three-dimensional (3-D) mechanism concept diagram by a simple input method by transforming a point on a 2-D coordinates selected through an input device and displayed on a display device into 3-D coordinates and constructing 3-D data. ;CONSTITUTION: A solid most close to required structure is selected on a 3-D mechanism concept diagram to be plotted out of a working solid menu by a working solid selecting means 12 and an input device such as a mouse. Then a face parallel with a plane to be plotted is selected by a working plane selecting means 14 to determine a working plane, a concept diagram code to be arranged is selected from the menu by a code selecting means 16 and the input device to arrange the selected code on the working plane and a code to be inputted is recorded by the means 16 and the input device. The code is arranged on a required position on the working plane by a code arranging means 17 and the input device. The direction, position, etc., of the arranged code are transformed into 3-D data by a 3D data constructing means 18 and registered as 3-D mechanism concept diagram data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
