PURPOSE: To obtain a new highly alkali protease having improved properties, a DNA sequence required for the protease, a vector and a transformed microorganism. ;CONSTITUTION: This highly alkali protease contains an amino acid sequence having at least 80% analog to an amino acid sequences, and an amino acid sequence different at two, three, four or five positions of 42, 43, 114, 216 and 249 or different at complementary positions of the amino acid sequences. In this case, an amino acid exists at 42 is replaced with arginine, an amino acid exists at 43 is replaced with glutamine, an amino acid exists at 114 is replaced with arginine, an amino acid exists at 216 is replaced with glutamine or alanine and amino acid exists at 249 is replaced with glutamic acid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
