PRODUCTION OF STAINLESS STEEL WIRE FOR SPRING HAVING EXCELLENT SURFACE BRIGHTNESS AND SPRING MOLDABILITY

摘要

PURPOSE: To produce the stainless steel wire for springs while satisfying the requirements for assurance of surface brightness and spring moldability by forming a film of an amino acid compd. on the surface of a wire and subjecting this wire 2 elongating and contracting. ;CONSTITUTION: The film of the amino acid compd. is formed on the surface of the stainless steel wire which is taken up in a coil form and has 1.0mm wire diameter by immersing the steel wire into liquid, then drying the wire. This liquid is prepd. by uniformly dispersing crystal powder of 0.5 to 30μm grain sizes of N lauroyl-L-lysine which is a compd. of amino acid and fatty acid at 10vol.% concn. This wire is passed in a die and is drawn. As a result, the effect of maintaining the spring moldability and surface brightness is obtd.
