PURPOSE: To provide an image carrier for digital video tape recorder which makes the recording and reproduction of images recorded in digital VTR possible when the tape recorder is operated in a trick-play mode and a technology for arranging data on the image carrier. ;CONSTITUTION: On an image carrier 500 containing a plurality of recorded average inclined tracks, each synchronous block is divided into at least first and second parts 402 and 404, having coded first and second digital signals TDS and NODS, and the first digital signals TDS are used for reproducing input images in a trick play mode. The second digital signals NODS are used for reproducing input image in a normal play mode and the first digital signal TDS of each synchronous block indicates perfect horizontal lines of the input images.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
