PRODUCTION OF SWEATER HAVING SLEEVES ON BODY

PURPOSE: To provide a production method for the integral knitting of a sweater having sleeves on the body. ;CONSTITUTION: A sleeve 4 of one side and a front or back body 2 are knitted almost simultaneously and when the knitting of the body 2 reaches the course where the sleeve 4 and the body 2 is connected the body 2 is transferred towards the sleeve 4 side by one loop so that the body 2's loop at the sleeve 4 side is overlapped on the sleeve 4's loop at the body 2 side on the final course of the sleeve 4. A stitch for starting to knit the other side of sleeve 5 is prepared on the needle becoming open by said transferring. The integration of said overlapped loops of the shoulder 6 and the sleeve 4 by binding with the thread fed to the needles for knitting the shoulder 6 and the detachment of the loops on the finishing course of the sleeve 4 from the needles are sequentially repeated until the completion of the binding of shoulder 6 with the sleeve 4. Subsequently, the other body 3 is knitted and the other sleeve 5 is knitted almost simultaneously with the body 3 using the stitch prepared above.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
