SEXUAL GLAND-STIMULATING HORMONES OF FISHES

PURPOSE: To provide a fish sexual gland-stimulating hormone. ;CONSTITUTION: A gene coding the amino acid sequence of a sexual gland- stimulating hormone originated from the hypophysis of a fish belonging to the family Salmo.Oncorhynchus of the order Clupeiformes is produced. A recombined vector recombined with the gene is produced, and further a transformant transformed with the recombined vector is obtained. The transformant is utilized to provide the sexual gland-stimulating hormone originated from the hypophysis of the fish. The obtained fish sexual gland-stimulating hormone is useful for the stimulation of the saturation/oviposition of the animals including the fishes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
