PURPOSE:To always stabilize blast furnace operation by automatically and accurately grasping the pattern of descending rate the raw material charged from the furnace top part of the blast furnace in the furnace and thereby controlling the charging method. CONSTITUTION:In order to deciding the distributing pattern for the descending rate of the raw material charged from the furnace top part of the blast furnace, the raw material descending rate data at plural points in the radial direction measured by a profile meter 10 provide in the radial direction of the furnace top part of the blast furnaceare are fetched into a raw material descending rate data inputting device 21 in an automatic charged material descending velocity distributing pattern setting device 20 at the furnace top part of the blast furnace. The fetched data are converted into a relative descending rate by data preprocessor 22 and also, the pre-processed result is temporarily stored in a data storage device 23, and automatically decided into one of plural raw material descending rate patterns in the radial direction pre-fixed to be necessary to the classification on the operational control and analysis, by a neural network 24. The network 24 is connected to an automatic blast furnace control system 30, and the action quantity for the blast furnace is decided by using the result of the automatic control device 20.
