PURPOSE: To control the digestion of the incineration residues discharged from the water sealing tank of an apparatus for incineration treatment of marine living things to ≤30% residual sticking water. ;CONSTITUTION: The incineration residues discharged from an incineration furnace 1 of the apparatus for incineration treatment of marine living things are dropped into the water sealing tank 2 and the digestion reaction in water is controlled to 0.7 H2O/CaO reaction equiv. The incineration residues are scooped up from the water sealing tank 2 and the remaining digestion reaction is effected with the residual sticking water in transportation equipment, by which the digestion of the incineration residues is controlled to ≤30% residual sticking water. As a result, the sticking water is evaporated by the heat generated in the digestion reaction within the transportation equipment and the water is consumed by the digestion reaction itself, by which the sticking water is decreased.
