INDIRECT HEATING TYPE ROTARY HEATING FURNACE

PURPOSE: To improve production capacity and to obtain a product of a high quality by arbitrarily setting a residence time of a material in a rotary furnace. ;CONSTITUTION: An outlet cover 11 having an opening 12 is provided near an outlet of a rotary furnace 10 to be rotated by power from a driving mechanism. A material 34 to be heat treated is fed from a charging hopper 30 into the furnace 10, and fed out as a product from the opening 12 of the cover 11. A gate may be provided along an inner periphery of the furnace 10 instead of the cover 11. Discharge amount regulating means such as the cover is provided at the outlet of the furnace 10 thereby to enhance a material packing fraction in the furnace 10. Further, sufficient heat treatment can be executed in the furnace 10 while arbitrarily regulating a residence time, and a production amount can be largely improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
