摘要

PURPOSE: To provide the redifferentiation method for Menthaceae plant stems/ leaves or anlage thereof, passage retention/growing method for the plant using its seedling anlage, and formation of plant body from the stems/leaves redifferentiated. ;CONSTITUTION: In differentiating the stems/leaves or anlage thereof from Menthaceae plant callus, a phenylurea derivative is used as cytokinin. When seedling anlage is to be formed from the resulting redifferentiated stems/leaves or anlage thereof and to be put to passage retention/proliferation, such redifferentiated stems/leaves or anlage thereof are cultured by vertical rotary culture using a phenylurea-based cytokinin. In growing such redifferentiated stems/leaves or anlage thereof to produce a perfect plant body, such stems/ leaves or anlage thereof are cultured by vertical rotary culture using a purine base cytokinin, thereby promoting the growth of the stems/leaves, which are then transplanted to a phytohormone-free medium to effect root development, thus accomplishing formation of the objective plant body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
