PURPOSE: To form plural tracks by means of a magnetic head for one track. ;CONSTITUTION: A magnetic card 12 inserted under the state of its one side end in contact with one inner side surface of a carrier guide 14 is moved diagonally in the carrier guide 14 until the other side end of the card comes into contact with the other inner side surface of the carrier guide 14 by a carrier belt 36 disposed to be inclined at θ1 to the carrier direction. Afterward, the card is moved parallel with the carrier direction in a prescribed distance, and is then moved diagonally until its other side end is brought into contact with other inner side surface of the carrier guide 14 again by reversing the carrier belt 36. Afterward, the magnetic card 12 is moved parallel to the carrier direction in its ejecting direction. Consequently, one magnetic head 44 is capable of corresponding to two recording tracks.
