Production method and device for a metal film by electrolytic deposit

Method for producing a metal film of a predetermined thickness, wherein ametal is deposited electrolytically onto a mobile substrate composed of astrip of an identical formulation to that of the deposited metal; a layer ofmetal is deposited on at least one side of the substrate up to a total coatedsubstrate thickness greater than the predetermined thickness; after possiblerecrystallisation annealing, the coated substrate is rolled to form a rolledproduct having the predetermined thickness, the rolled product is dividedinto two successive portions and one of said portions is used as a substratefor a subsequent electrolytic deposit operation. The device for theimplementation of said method comprises in sequence: one pay-off reel, oneplaner, at least one electrolytic cell, one annealing furnace if applicable,at least one roll stand, one set of shears and one reeling machine.
