A training cartridge for weapon simulators, especially in training installations for tanks, with a projectile part arranged on a cartridge case which has a case base at its rear end. The case base (3) is releasably connected to the cartridge case (1) by means of a locking device (2.1-2-2.3-2.8) arranged in the cartridge case (1) and releasable from outside. For this, a release member (2.1) is so arranged on the outside of the cartridge case (1) that the release is brought about, during the advance of the ammunition slide of the weapon simulator, by a pawl engaging into the release member (2.1) and arranged on the ammunition slide.
