摘要
A method for attenuating the symptoms of the reaction of deprivation of drugs in a human or animal comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of attenuation of the reaction symptom deprivation drug, this quantity being composed of an inhibitor synthase of nitric oxide (SON) during an effective period in order to alleviate such symptoms reaction deprivation drugs. Useful ITS inhibitors in this process include for example L-NG-nitroarginine, esters of L-NG-nitroarginine, L-NG-monomethylarginine, L-NG-benzylarginine, L-NG-aminoarginine, iminoéthylornitine and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof . These compounds can be used alone or in combination, together with conventional drugs, such as alpha2-adrenoceptor agonists, opioid agonist-antagonist mixed and NMDA antagonists to alleviate symptoms of the reaction to the deprivation of drugs. Effective doses of HER inhibitors range from about 1 mug / kg / day to 30 mg / Kg / day, administered over a period of about one hour to about six days following the reaction to deprivation of opiates.
