The invention relates to a prefabricated inlay (1) for filling a tooth by application and fixing in a cavity prepared in the tooth and having essentially the same shape as the part of the inlay to be inserted in the cavity. . The inlay comprises a pin (6) which extends from the part of the inlay which is not intended to be inserted and which is intended to be received in an inlay holder. The entire inlay (1) is based on a translucent material with a light radiation suitable for hardening a photocuring material used to fix the inlay in the cavity. The inlay holder comprises a light source and a light guide having a point (18) with a recess (19) intended to receive the pin (6) of the inlay (1), so that the light radiation generated by the source light can be guided through the light guide and through the inlay (1) to the photocuring material. A dental obturation kit comprises a plurality of prefabricated tapered inlays (1), preferably having the same cone angle as well as various different diameters for the narrow end, and a plurality of tapered burs having the same cone angle as inlays (1) as well as different corresponding diameters for the narrow end.
