摘要
The brake has a disc, connected to the wheel hub, and a floating caliper block with two or more brake linings. The required distance between the brake linings (18a,b), e.g. 2xs, plus the thickness of the brake disc (21), is determined by the position of the brake piston (8) relative to the block (1). The distance is defined by impact of the piston on the block. The brake block is moved to achieve the same clearances on either side of the brake disc relative to the linings, by an adjusting screw (22). The screw adjusts the brake block relative to a frame-fastened guide cylinder (2). The impact of the piston on the block may be pre-set by the thickness of a stop washer (14). When the brake is not used, the piston is retained on the block by a spring (11). USE/ADVANTAGE - Hydraulic disc brake can be adapted to all types of bicycles, gives improved braking.
