The socket has a bottom casing (4) which is open at the top, receiving a cover frame (6), with an intermediate frame (7) for the socket insert, beneath a hinged cover (64). The latter is sealed against the casing via an outer seal (11) provided by a height adjustable frame (5) attached to the casing to prevent penetration of water. Pref. the height adjustable frame has two relatively sealed angle profile frames (51, 52). The inner frame projects vertically from the outer frame and acts as a holder for the cover frame. ADVANTAGE - Suitable for use in wet floor areas.
