The rotor (3) has circular blades (7) mounted in the free ends of the blade arms (6) which can be advanced against the tube (8a,8b). The blade arms are forced against the tube wall to effect a cutting operation which is done by a slide or carriage mounted drive via an adjusting bush (14) extending through the base (1) and the rotor. The adjusting bush is rotatable by an adjusting lever (19) to lift the segments (13) of an expander ring (11) along ramps. Follower rollers (10), rolling in the expander ring, are each mounted on a crank (9) which is fixed to a pivot pin (5) and an associated blade arm. ADVANTAGE - Has low manufacturing, supply and control costs. It has quasi-stationary drives for tool positioning and permits problem free cutting of thin and thick walled tubes within a wide range of diameters.
