The steering gear has turnable spur pinions with parallel axis in the area of the steering axle ends. The spur pinions are driven by displaceable crown gears, which are located on the steering piston rods. A pair of toothed gears is located in each end area. The first gear is fixed to the axle housing, and the second gear is rigidly connected to the corresponding steering pin. The crown gears each engage with the first toothed gear of a pair, which simultaneously meshes with the second gear of the same pair. The teeth of the first gears are in constant contact with those of second gears and crown gears via plate springs.
