The compressor has a fixed spiral passage in one block (21) formed by a spiral wall (23) and a similar passage in a moving block (41), which engages with it to form a compression chamber (39) between the walls. The moving block is driven in an eccentric fashion from a main shaft (33), held in a bearing (32) within the housing. The bearing is attached to a driving peg (34) with counterweight (35). This peg has a sliding engagement with a C-shaped section (36) of the moving block. This is a device to prevent the moving block from rotating about its own axis. ADVANTAGE - Simple to manufacture and assemble.
