The present invention relates to a process for protecting stony materials, marble, tiles and cement as well as articles manufactured from said materials from the decay caused by the atmospheric agents and pollutants. For that purpose, a mixture comprising: 1) polytetrafluoroethylene in the form of an aqueous dispersion, 2) an emulsion or microemulsion of certain (per)fluoropolyethers is applied onto the surface of said materials or articles.
