In an optical arrangement according to Figure 1, the light of a light source (1) is diffracted by a plurality of gratings (301, 401). The diffracted component beams (15 to 20) are respectively focused onto a photodetector (5, 6, 7). A lens (2) is arranged for this purpose between the last grating (301) and the photodetectors (5, 6, 7). In order to take account of the imaging characteristics of the lens (2), the distance between the lens (2) and the individual photodetectors (5, 6, 7) is chosen as a function of the angle of inclination of the component beams (15 to 20) impingeing on the lens (2).
