Moulded prodn. of car head lamp screw adjusting nut - with two part mould and insertable core acting as die for threaded portion

A formed nut (20) for adjusting the screw-nut (2,20) for the positioning of a car head lamp is moulded using a two part (27,28) mould with a sliding core (29) engaged between the two mould parts (27,28) to define two generally cylindrical coaxial cavities (25,26) also defining a cavity (24) connecting the two cylindrical cavities. The core (29) also forms in flat interconnecting cavity a dia (30) for a partially cylidrical thread (23a). Also claimed is the part so formed. ADVANTAGE - Compared to threaded brass bushes rivited into head lamp housings the moulding is simple and low cost.
