The shell contains at least two smoke-generating pots (7a, 7b) inside a casing (2), discharged by an ejector (15), which also ignites them through coaxial channels (14a, 14b). The pots are equipped with a temporary connector (18) to hold them together until ejected, made in the form of a cylindrical ring and collar which fits into the channels of the adjoining pots, penetrating to a depth equal to the ring's outer diameter. The ring can be made from a natural or synthetic polymer, e.g. rubber, silicone, PVC or a polyamide. The pots can be used to produce an infrared opaque smoke, and the shell can also contain a dispersible powder to provide instant infrared masking. USE/ADVANTAGE - Produces infrared opaque smokescreen. Shell ensures that smoke pots land close together after ejection.
