The appts. for protection of tubes (in particular, those of boiler superheater elements) comprises at least one protective shell surrounding the tubes. Each protective shell (7) consists of one first part (8) partially surrounding one or more tubes (4,5) and a second part (10) accommodated and held in an appropriately shaped seat (9) to lock the first part around the tubes and to complete the protective shell around them.
