The invention relates to an automatic device for the simultaneous filling of a plurality of compartments of a plate freezer with products of pasty, generally granular or fibrous consistency. The device according to the invention is characterised in that a vessel (1) having no other partition, is previously filled with a quantity of product corresponding to the volume to be transferred into the set of compartments (2) of the freezer. Compartments (8) are then created in the vessel (1), by lowering walls (7), in a number which is compatible with the number of compartments (2) to be filled simultaneously. Finally, thrust pistons (9) are lowered into the compartments (8) in order to transfer, from compartment to compartment, from the vessel to the freezer, the product in question.
