METHOD OF ASHING AND VITRIFYING WASTE IN CRUCIBLE

PURPOSE: To provide a method containing usage of a simple and inexpensive crucible protected from corrosion by an exhaust organic gas and other generated products generated by glass or combustion. CONSTITUTION: In a process for the incineration and vitrification of mainly inorganic waste, at least one pure or substantially pure oxygen plasma jet 16 is used for melting the waste. A crucible is made of metal and its wall is cooled by liquids flowing in internal channels 13. The crucible is provided with an exhaust valve 10 at the bottom.
