PURPOSE:To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive vibration-damping composition layer having a dynamic storage shear modulus falling within a prescribed range and a wide vibration-damping temperature range, effective for reducing the noise and useful e.g. as a vibration damping material for domestic appliances, etc., by mixing a mica having a prescribed average particle diameter into a rubber composition composed mainly of a rubber. CONSTITUTION:This pressure-sensitive adhesive vibration-damping composition layer having a dynamic storage shear modulus of 1.0X105 to 1.0X107 dyn/cm2 at 0-80 deg.C and 1Hz is produced by mixing (A) 100 pts.wt. of a rubber composition composed mainly of a rubber such as natural rubber or a styrene-butadiene copolymer with (B) preferably 80-150 pts.wt. of a mica having an average particle diameter of =50mum. A vibration-damping material can be produced by laminating the composition layer on a restraining plate.
