PURPOSE: To separate an animal cell in a state that it is alive, and to improve the volumetric efficiency by forming a centrifugal void from a peripheral edge slot, allowing the peripheral edge slot to have prescribed length of an outside wall and a space, and providing a supply port or a discharge port in the most distant position and the nearest position from the center shaft. ;CONSTITUTION: A centrifigual void of a centrifugal separator consists of a peripheral edge slot 23 having an outside peripheral edge wall 22 inclined at an angle of 30-80° in the direction vertical to the center shaft of a rotor, in the direction going toward the center axis of the rotor, and the peripheral edge slot 23 exists by length of the outside wall 22 corresponding to ≥360° of the periphery in the center shaft of the rotor, and has such a space as a liquid fluid forms a continuous flow.
