PURPOSE:To produce a liquid compsn. which is noncorrosive for metals and suppresses corrosion of metals as much as possible by incorporating sulfate and hydroxide with each specified concn. to a liquid compsn. to be used as in a contact state with metals. CONSTITUTION:To a liquid compsn. to be used in a contact state with metals, 0.1-10.wt.% sulfate (lithium sulfate, sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate) and/or 0.1-1.0wt.% hydroxide (lithium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide) are added and pH of the liquid is controlled to 7 to 10.5. By this method, a liquid compsn. which is noncorrosive for metal and can suppresse production of corrosion as much as possible even when the liquid is in contact with metals can be obtd.
