SHRINKING METHOD FOR HEAT-SHRINKABLE TUBE FOR BATTERY PACKAGING

PURPOSE:To provide a shrinking method providing good appearance and no wrinkles for a heat-shrinkable tube with which plural batteries are packed as a unit. CONSTITUTION:When plural batteries are packed as a unit with a heat- shrinkable tube, the plural batteries 1 are put in the heat-shrinkable tube, and they are sent into a hot air circulation type tunnel type heating furnace 3. After they passed through the furnace 3, hot air having a temperature higher than that within the furnace is sprayed onto the tube surface in contact with the side surface of the batteries to shrink the tube by stages. The tube is homogeneously shrunken and appearance of shrinkage is remarkably improved.
