CONSTITUTION: Lysate is obtained in a frozen dry form, and calcium positive ion is desirable as bivalent positive ion required for the activation of lysate cascade. Luminous synthetic substrate is desirable as synthetic substrate, and endotoxin LAL testing fluorescent substrate with an elimination radical is used. High-quality filter paper is desirable as a carrier matrix. A reagent solution is impregnated into the filter paper, dried, cut and stuck to a support body member. A testing instrument using this member does not respond to free endotoxin but shows sensitivity to 105 Gram-negative bacteria per 1ml of urine.
