PURPOSE:To decide a slit plan withstanding actual use without needing skill. CONSTITUTION:A set S stored in the last of a list L (only set S0 including all orders in the first) is drawn to judge the excessive or deficient number of the respective order data of the set S (steps 124 and 126). In the case of other than an allowable region, a pattern is produced based on the set S, and a pattern, having high priority given according to the standard wherein a pattern having the many number of orders obtainable when the same pattern in repeated is selected and so on, is selected to store the set of orders, unobtainable when respective patterns are adopted, in the list L (steps 128-136). When an excessive or deficient number is in an allowable range, the combination of patterns reached to the aggregation S is stored in a list G to eliminate the set S of the list L (steps 138 and 140). This is repeated until the set of the list L becomes out to evaluate the combination of plural obtained patterns to decide a slit plan.
